"Pennsylvania musician Lou Rogai, who records as Lewis & Clarke, has a knack for nuance. He constructs songs the way a gifted author tells stories, revealing details slowly, guiding the narrative along confidently instead of racing from one point to the next. All of that is on display in the masterful “Triumvirate,” the first song from the forthcoming record of the same name. Over a gentle, waltzing acoustic guitar, Rogai delivers the song’s lovely, winding melody, navigating the song’s contours with a kind of calm certainty.
